Dr. Marvin Zerr, DDS, PHD - Dental Director
Dr. Marvin A. Zerr, DDS PhD is the Dental Director for Northland Health Centers. Prior to accepting this responsibility, he was a dental consultant for Northland Health Centers for one year. He graduated from the University of Nebraska College of Dentistry in 1989. He continued graduate studies at the University of Iowa and received his Endodontic certificate and a PhD in Microbiology in 1996. For 20 years, Dr. Zerr maintained a private practice in Endodontics. During these years, he was also a part-time Endodontist at several Indian Health Service dental clinics throughout the state. Since 2012, he has been employed as a part-time Endodontist at Elbowoods Health Center - Dental in New Town, ND. Originally from Mandan, Dr. Zerr has had many different “experiences” throughout his life related to dentistry as well as the military. He has spoken at both national and local dental/medical meetings and had the experience of seeing Iraq in 2005 as a military dentist. He remains a proud member of the NDARNG, originally enlisting in 1978. Dr. Zerr and his wife, Colleen, have three children and one son-in-law. Two of their children and their son-in-law are teachers. The youngest in the family is currently attending dental school at UMKC. Dr. Zerr and his wife have lived in Harvey for the past 14 years.
Dr. Nathan Burbach, DDS
Dr. Burbach has been practicing dentistry since 2014. He was born and raised in Minot, ND where he graduated from Minot High School. He continued his education at the University of North Dakota where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Sciences with a focus on Pre-Dentistry. After graduating from UND, Dr. Burbach then attended and graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry with a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS). While in dental school, Dr. Burbach was awarded the Community Service Award, given to the student who demonstrated exceptional dental work within underserved communities. Dr. Burbach spent hundreds of hours providing dental care the homeless population of St. Paul, MN at the Union Gospel Mission. Dr. Burbach also has traveled to Honduras and Guatemala on dental mission trips to help those who have no access to dental care. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Burbach enjoys hunting, playing hockey, being at the lake, dog training and testing, traveling, and being with friends and family. Dr. Burbach prides himself in doing exceptional dental care and making sure his patients are comfortable during their dental visits.
Dr. Murray Greer, DDS
Dr. Greer has helped patients smile brighter with quality dental care for over 31 years. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire before moving on to the University of Minnesota where he achieved his Doctor of Dental Surgery and met his wife. After dental school, Dr. Greer underwent one year General Practice Residency at the University of Washington Dental School in Seattle. Today, Dr. Greer is a member of the Minot Dental Society, the NW District Dental Society, the American Dental Association, and the North Dakota Dental Association. He is a past president of the North Dakota Dental Association and was inducted into the International College of Dentists in 2015. The favorite part of Dr. Greer’s work is visiting with patients and getting to learn about their lives and families. Dr. Greer and his wife have three children. Outside of dentistry, his interests include fishing, hunting, camping, hiking, skiing, and keeping up with college hockey.
Dr. Nicholas Faure, DMD
Dr. Faure grew up in Valley City, ND and attended Valley City State University. He graduated with degrees in Health Science, Biology, and Chemistry. Dr. Faure earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine from Oregon Health and Science University, in Portland, OR. While in school he was recognized for outstanding achievement in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology. Dr. Faure is a member of the Delta Sigma Delta National Dental Fraternity. Prior to coming to work at Northland, he worked in private practice. When not working, Dr. Faure enjoys being outdoors, cooking, reading, and playing trivia.
Samantha Lund, RDH
Samantha Lund grew up on a dairy farm in Marshfield, WI with her three siblings. Samantha graduated from Marshfield High School and then continued to college at Northcentral Technical College in Wausau, WI graduating as a Registered Dental Hygienist in 2004. After graduation, she moved to Huron, SD where she worked for Dakota Family Dentistry for nine years. She has two girls and a step son. Her husband, Shelby is from Bottineau, ND and had an opportunity to move closer to family with his job. He manages the Wilbur Elis Branch in Rolla, ND. After moving and living in Rolla for over two years, Samantha joined the team at Northland Health Centers in Rolette as of July 2015. Her hobbies include remodeling and updating homes. She also enjoys spending time with her family, going to the lake in the summer, and snowmobiling in the winter.
Joanie O'Grady, RDH
Joanie is a Max, North Dakota native. She graduated from Max Public School then moved out east and landed in Buffalo, NY where she lived for 17 years. Joanie attend Erie Community College where she received her Dental Hygiene degree. In December of 2007, Joanie and her two boys, Brett and Collin, relocated back to her home town of Max. She enjoys spending time with her family, going to the lake, and boating. Joanie is a huge Class B Boys Basketball fan. She enjoyed being a sports mom and watching Brett and Collin throughout their years. Joanie is very passionate about dental hygiene and helping all ages. She was welcomed to join the team at Northland Health Centers in March 2016.
Julie Rice, RDH
Julie is a Minot native. She graduated from Minot High School and attended Minot State University for two years. An interest in becoming a dental hygienist lead her to North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton where she received her dental hygiene degree. Julie returned to Minot after living in Colorado and Arizona for several years. She enjoys the outdoors and participating in triathlons.
Caitlin Wacker, RDH
Caitlin is a North Dakota native who grew up outside of Washburn, ND. After graduating from Washburn High School, she continued her education for one year at North Dakota State University. Caitlin was then accepted into the dental hygiene program at North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton where she graduated in May 2010. Caitlin began working as a full time Registered Dental Hygienist at Northland Health Centers in Turtle Lake immediately following her graduation. Caitlin resides in the countryside of Mercer, ND with her husband and son. She loves being a mom and spending as much time outdoors as possible.
