Our Mental Health Providers
Laura Larson, MS, LPCC - Mental Health Director

Laura Larson is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN, and her Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology from North Dakota State University in Fargo. Laura has provided mental health services in the Minot community for over 25 years. Employment history includes providing mental health services at North Central Human Service Center, followed by working in private practice for many years. Laura also worked at the Child Adolescent Partial Hospitalization (CAPH) program in Minot, providing group, individual and family therapy services. Laura is currently the director of mental health services at Northland Health Centers and also provides therapy for children, adolescents, and adults. Laura has specialized training in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), art therapy, play therapy, and Trauma Focused CBT therapy.
Karen Berg, LICSW

Karen Berg is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. She received a Bachelor of Social Work Degree at Minot State University and a Master of Social Work Degree from the University of North Dakota. Her employment history includes Ward County Social Services and PATH, as well as Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch and Dakota Family Services, where she provided individual, family and group therapy to children, adolescents and adults with various mental health needs. Karen has specialized training in sand tray therapy, DBT, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), equine-facilitated CBT, EMDR and play therapy.
Alicja Cebulak, PMHNP

Alicja Cebulak is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). Originally from Poland, she has been living in Minot, ND for 18 years. She received a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Minot State University; where she graduated with Summa Cum Laude. She worked as a registered nurse for 12 years for Trinity Health. Her experience included inpatient psychiatric unit, intensive care unit, medical-surgical nursing, geriatric and orthopedic experience. In 2018 she graduated with a Master’s in Nursing from the University of North Dakota at the top of her class with a 4.0 GPA. She worked for one year at Trinity Riverside as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner prior to joining Northland Health Centers. Alicja, is certified as a PMHNP by The American Nurses Credentialing Center; she belongs to the American Psychiatric Nurses Association. She specializes in diagnosing and treating mental health disorders in patients across the lifespan (children, adolescents, adults and geriatrics) including anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, autism spectrum disorder, schizophrenia and other disorders. Alicja is married and has 2 children. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and meeting new people.
Missy Gartner, MA, LPCC

Missy Gartner is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. She is a Minot native who earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Master’s Degree in Counseling, both from the University of North Dakota. Missy provided individual, family, and group therapy at Badlands Human Service Center in Dickinson and North Central Human Service Center before joining the Behavioral Health Team at Northland. She provides therapy to adolescents and adults. Missy enjoys working with a wide variety of mental health issues, specializing in trauma work. Specialized trainings include EMDR, TF-CBT, DBT, and CBT.
Jenny Hills, LICSW

Jenny Hills is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. She received a Bachelor of Science in Social Work Degree at Minot State University and a Master of Social Work Degree from Florida State University in 2014. Her employment history includes Northern Plains Children’s Advocacy Center and North Central Human Service Center. Jenny provides therapy services and works with all age groups. She has also facilitated group work such as Adolescent DBT, SPARCS, and children’s mindfulness. Specialized trainings include play therapy, DBT, TF-CBT, and EMDR.
